Accenture worked with RPD in 2017 to launch a wristband that would allow you to exchange contact details with a handshake. The band was launched at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, where 15,000 bands were given to attendees. The bands were able to provide information about they types of connections being made, and where across Cannes these happened. Unveiling incredible data around how social interactions happen at the event.
Accenture were able to task this project to RPD, leading design, development, certification and manufacturing within 8 weeks. This was all done with a single supplier, point of contact and purchase order.
Accenture were able to deliver this idea in 8 weeks, with no specialist design, engineering or manufacturing knowledge on the project. The process was managed by 2 team members, and arrived on time, and in budget.
